Kirisisha's Ruddy Duck of Lake Hyco, DM |
|
 Duckie
was the first show cat that I bought, and guess what? She granded! I
wonder why red is still my favorite solid color, don't you? Duckie
produced five grands and earned the title of Distinguished Merit,
one of the highest honors in CFA.

DeMiara's Lake Loon of Lake Hyco
|
|
Lake Loon was the first colorpoint Persian that I purchased and he sired six Grand Champions and dozens of Champions. The first year that he bred, I kept 10 of his offspring, so even today he can be found on the pedigree of most Lake Hyco cats.

Sulltans Sandpiper of Lake Hyco

Sandy's best feature was his smooth, round top-head and I still see it generations later in his progeny. He sired four Grand Champions for Lake Hyco.

Hyco's Avocet |
|
 Avocet
was the first show kitten born at Lake Hyco. She's a
blue-cream point, my favorite color in Himmies; however, she was not
the first cat with the Lake Hyco prefix to become a grand champion.
She had several litters and was almost three years old before she
earned her title.

 Maggie,
another blue-cream point, was the first Lake Hyco cat to grand. Both
she and Avocet hold very special places in my heart.

| GC Lake Hyco's Night-Heron |
Heron was the first seal point that I took to the show hall. Thanks to judges like Hilary Helmrich, it was not a disappointment. She is the dam of GC Lake Hyco's The Matrix, now owned by Hirscheez Cattery.

| CH Lake Hyco's Deep River Woman |
Deep River Woman, Rive r for short, was named after one of my favorite songs. She may have been the shortest, cobbiest cat in my program and she has a beautiful face with delicate little ears and deep copper eyes. River is now making beautiful babies for Prairie Cats Cattery in Canada.

CH Fur Pleasure's The Maker of Lake Hyco

|
Maker was the first visual lilac point cat used in my chocolate/lilac program. He is responsible for introducing this soft, rare color to Lake Hyco and now all cats in my chocolate program also carry the lilac gene.

| GC Lake Hyco's Sling Blade, DM |
Sling Blade, a tortie point, was born into a litter of six kittens who caught pneumonia shortly after birth and she is the only one who lived. She proved to be an extremely healthy girl and had no bad habits. She was a pleasure to show, and she was a great mom to her babies. She is one of Lake Hyco's females that produced that drop-dead gorgeous eye-color. Sling Blade became a DM after producing only 3 litters of kittens. She remains a perfect cat and is now a well-loved pet living in Mass.

| CH Keepers Chip Off The Ole Block |
|
Chip has returned to his original breeder, but he is available to sire future Lake Hyco kittens if needed. Several of his offspring are still here and we're proud that he added his small ears and great boning to our program. Thank you, Jane Packett, for this good-looking boy.
